Competitive Red Team
Multiple independent swarms compete to find vulnerabilities. Each swarm operates with its own coordination strategy, potentially using different attack methodologies.
Use when: You want to compare approaches or ensure thoroughness through redundancy. Competitive patterns help when you’re uncertain which attack strategies will prove effective.
Trade-offs: Higher resource consumption. Requires mechanisms to aggregate and deduplicate findings across swarms.
Adversarial-Defensive Co-evolution
Red swarm and blue swarm operate simultaneously. Red agents attempt attacks while blue agents attempt to detect and block them. Both swarms adapt based on the other’s behavior.

Agent Execution Environment. Agents need isolated, reproducible execution contexts. Container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS) provides natural primitives: scale agents horizontally, restart failed agents automatically, and isolate agent state. Each agent should run in its own container with defined resource limits to prevent runaway costs.
